The T Slot Makes It All Possible!

T-Slotted aluminum extrusions have been used for such a wide variety of applications, all made possible by the versatility and modularity. This flexibility is primarily due to the T Slot construction of Faztek's extrusions. This long, narrow slot covers the length of the extrusion, offering infinite positioning for the addition of fasteners, components, panels and other accessories.

Because Faztek offers various sizes and styles of extrusion profiles, some have different T Slot configurations than others. Some of the most common profiles have one T Slot per side. Other wider profiles have two or even three T Slots per side, creating more flexibility and strength when designing a project.

Furthermore, some profiles only have T Slots on one or two sides leaving the other surfaces smooth and without a T Slot. This creates a flat, smooth surface ideal for use when cleanliness is a top priority. Faztek offers these "mono slot" and "bi-slot" profiles in both 1" x 1" and 1.5" x 1.5" sizes.

Not only can T Slots be used to add components and accessories, but they can also entertain creative ideas such as holding wiring much like electrical conduit would, or be used to hang tools and containers.

Panels are used extensively in conjunction with the T Slot to create machine guards, partitions and many types of enclosures. Since the width of most T Slots is at least 1/4", panels can simply be inserted and held tight with a panel gasket. This is an easy and cost-effective way to create an enclosed frame with panel or even wire mesh.

After assembling your project you can apply the finishing touch with a plastic T Slot cover. These colored covers add a pleasing aesthetic appearance as well as functionality. They can keep dust and other debris from collecting inside the T Slot and make cleaning much easier.
