What are the differences among the Faztek "series"?
Faztek offers four different series of T-Slotted products. Each series varies by the size of extrusions, part dimensions and typical applications. Below is a brief description of each series.
15 Series
The 15 Series line of extrusion is the most popular. It is a fractional category with profile sizes range from
1.5" x 1.5" to 3.0" x 6.0". Typical applications include machine guarding, workstations, material handling units, machine bases, test stands, conveyors and much more.
All 15 Series extrusion profiles have a .320" T-slot opening, with exception to the profiles containing a 'QE' prefix, which have a .315" opening. Any component beginning with "15" is designed for use with the 15 Series extrusions.
10 Series
The 10 Series line of extrusion is a fractional category typically used in light-duty applications, such as machine guarding, end of arm tooling, small bases, robot stands and test stations. Profiles are offered in
1.0" x 1.0", 1.0 x 2.0", 1.0" x 3.0", 2.0" x 2.0" and 2.0" x 4.0".
All 10 Series extrusion profiles have a .25" T-slot opening. Any component beginning with "10" is designed for use with the 10 Series extrusions.
40 Series
The 40 Series line of extrusion is a metric category based on 40mm increments. Available in 40mm x 40mm and 40mm x 80mm. This series is commonly used for guarding, light-duty work stations, sound enclosures, partitions, and test stations.
All 40 Series extrusion profiles have a 8.13mm T-slot opening. Any component beginning with "40" is designed for use with the 40 Series extrusions.
This is a fairly new and rapidly growing series...watch for new extrusion profiles and components!
