Which T-Slot Extrusion connection method should I use on my Faztek project?

Faztek offers several connection methods, each having unique benefit depending on the application. Please review the information below to find out how to "Connect with Faztek!"

Anchor Fasteners

  • Cost effective

T-Slotted Aluminum Extrusion w/ Anchor Fastener (Most Common)

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Insert the assembled anchor fastener into the T-slotted Extrusion.
  2. Set the mating T-Slotted Extrusion 90 degrees to the joining T-Slot. Be sure the counterbore is oriented properly.
  3. Slide the anchor fastener into the counterbore of the mating T-Slotted Extrusion.
  4. Be sure the T-Slotted Extrusions are squared up.
  5. Tighten the anchor fastener with a 1/4" "T" Handle Ball End Hex Wrench.

End Fasteners

  • Clean & hidden connection
  • Requires an access hole drilling and one end tap
T-Slotted Aluminum Extrusion w/ End Fastener

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Set the end fastener clip on the end of the T-Slotted Extrusion over the tapped hole.
  2. Place the bolt through the clip and thread into the tapped hole of the T-Slotted Extrusion.
  3. Slide the bottom T-slot onto the clip of the mating T-Slotted Extrusion.
  4. Line up the access hole up with the head of the button head fastener.
  5. Tighten the end fastener with a 3/16" "T" Handle Ball End Hex Wrench.

T-Anchor Fasteners

  • Clean, hidden appearance
  • No panel notches necessary
  • Infinite positioning
  • Extremely strong connection
  • One counterbore required
T-Slotted Aluminum Extrusion w/ T-Anchor Fastener

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Drop barrel of the anchor fastener into the counterbore.
  2. Insert "T" bar w/ spring into T-Slotted Extrusion hole and hole in barrel.
  3. Insert set screw into barrel and begin tightening until slight tension is on the "T" bar.
  4. Place head of the "T" anchor into the mating T-Slotted Extrusion.
  5. Once the T-Slotted Extrusion is in place, tighten the set screw.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Slide connector body into T-slot.
  2. Insert nut into opposite T-Slotted Extrusion and
    tighten to join T-Slotted Extrusions.
  3. Tighten set screw into connector body.
